Monsieur de Sainte-Colombe was the first to realize that his student would one day be the greatest among viola da gamba players. Fuoco E Cenere provides the special life story of Marin Marais with an atmospheric soundtrack, in which work by colleagues such as De la Barre, Philidor and Morel also appears on the music stand.
