The Knarbos is about 500 hectares in size and very varied due to the great variety of trees.
The center has an open character with a large pool. A herd of Icelandic ponies graze in the forest. A specially dug pool is home to toads, frogs and salamanders.
Here and there are large wood piles in the forest. These have been made consciously and serve as a shelter for fox, polecat, ermine and various bird species. The area can be reached by bicycle on well-maintained shell paths. Of course it is also wonderful to walk here, the yellow marked walking route gives a good impression of the forest.
