Rowing is a sport on the water, in which a boat is propelled forward with the help of oars. Rowing is not canoeing. The rowers look opposite to the sailing direction, while canoeists look along with the sailing direction. In addition, the oar has a pivot point on the boat and you hold the paddle yourself when canoeing. The sport can be practiced individually or in groups (two or more rowers). There are different disciplines in rowing. Differences are in the number of straps; row with one or two oars. Of course, the individual rower always rows with two oars.
