Scheepswrakpaal “OA40”
At this point there is shipwreck pole "Dike section 2", recognizable by a striped pole (white/blue) with a red image of a ship on it. This is a fragment of a probably caravel-built (freight) ship, possibly 17th century.
Hundreds of shipwrecks were found during the reclamation of Flevoland. The ships often date from the 17th and 18th centuries. Flevoland is the largest dry shipwreck cemetery in the world.
