Did you know that there are more than 10 murals in Lelystad? These murals are scattered throughout the Stadshart and shopping center 't Lelycentre. Below you will find an overview of some of these beautiful works. The central theme is: 'The new nature'.
All murals can also be found on the SMARTIFY website and mobile app. This is the world's most downloaded museum app, known for representing the Rijksmuseum, the Louvre and The British Museum among others! Beer and Bread
Almost 600 m² of art, in collaboration with Karski and Beyond
Are you coming to do a Street Art Tour through Lelystad? Cool! We recommend that you start with this work of art.
The Rotterdam duo 'Beer and Bread' created this grand mural in collaboration with the duo Karski and Beyond. At the center of this side of the mural is Cornelis Lely, the founder of Flevoland.

Karski and Beyond
A perfect collaboration with Bier en Brood
You will find this beautiful work right next to the above mural.
In 2017 the duo won 'Karski and Beyond' the Dutch StreetArt Award for the 'Best Dutch Mural'. You can now also see their work in Lelystad. This 600 m² mural was made with the duo 'Beer and Bread'. A large otter is depicted in the center of this side. This has a link with the theme 'The new nature'. Together with the bold dynamic shapes, this mural is a masterpiece.

Kitsune Jolene
'A special city where people took control of their own environment.' This is what the Belgian artist Kitsune Jolene says about her work.
It is a metaphor that is depicted by means of the bowl of Lilies that the woman is holding.
You will find this beautiful work directly opposite the paintings of 'Beer and Bread' and 'Karski and beyond'.
Can be seen on the wall on our Poststraat. Near the former post office.

Manuel Seikritt / FAKE
Taste for more
Have you seen the work by Kitsune Jolene? Then continue down Poststraat towards Stadhuisplein. After a short 5 minute walk through the Neringpassage in our Stadshart you will already arrive at the next work.
Manuel Seikritt is best known by his name: FAKE. This artwork was the second mural in our city center. It is extra special that FAKE also has its roots in Lelystad.
The artwork can be seen on the wall next to Bar Bodega "La Cave", opposite Parkwijk.

Pipsqueak was here
This mural stands out because of the characteristic stencils of this artistic duo.

Sidney Waerts
'Rise again from the water for the new young generations yet to come!', says the artist Sidney Waerts about this beautiful work.
Less than 50 meters from the previous artwork you will find this iconic mural. To do this, walk towards the Agoradek until you are next to the hotel.
Sidney has its roots in Lelystad. His work on Agoraweg would be the start of a great project in collaboration with Writer's Block; An organization where street art, graffiti and mural art in all its forms are central.
This artwork can be seen on the wall on the side of De Gordiaan Kitchen bar. Next to the Leonardo Hotel.

Lars Ickenroth
Grand and spectacular
Even now you don't have to walk far to see the next work of art. You'll find it right behind work by Sidney.
Lars Ickenroth traveled from Heerlen in South Limburg to the Flevopolder for this beautiful mural. The result is something to be proud of. A grand and spectacular work of art at our Agorahof. To be found near the works of Sidney Waerts and Pipsqueak was here.

Elmer Tuinstra
The history of the polder
Artist Elmer Tuinstra has depicted the iconic history of the polder in this artwork. From the former Zuiderzee, the formation of the largest man-made polder in the world and the green future of Flevoland.

Murals in Shopping Center 't Lelycentre
NEAN
The very first mural in the 't Lelycentre shopping center was created by the Belgian artist NEAN.
This is also the first work by this artist that is completely made with paint. NEAN from Brussels is known for its experimental and photo-realistic style. That is clearly visible in this mural.
You can find the artwork on the wall opposite the Salvation Army, on the south side of 't Lelycentre.

SCKARO
This work by the French artist SCKARO can also be found on the Weverstraat, in the 't Lelycentre shopping centre.
During his research on Lelystad, he discovered that scientists found a 10,000-year-old civilization at the bottom of the North Sea, where they had found many artifacts. This work symbolizes the transfer of this ancient civilization to modern society. You see this super realistic hand emerge from the depths and sea rocks

An amazing mural by artist GERA1 full of color.
