The name "Lange Jammer" goes back to the early days of Lelystad. In the 1950s, there were no street names on the former work island (now Lelystad harbor): then they made up some names themselves and decided to use them as a street name.
They usually called the long road De Lange Jammer. A name that still lives on in the old Lelystad.
