Toms Creek Fishing Adventure

Toms Creek is a beautifully designed park with several fishing ponds in the middle of the gate area of the Nieuw Land National Park 'De Oostvaardersplassen', next to recreational lake 't Bovenwater and camping site 't Oppertje. A perfect location for both the fisherman and the holiday maker!

Unique wide range of fish

The fishing park has 15 ponds on an 8-hectare site. The park is divided into the 'East' and 'West' areas. West is the part where it started in 2004. This is where the trout ponds, adventure ponds, kwie kwie swamps and the carp pond are located. Area East has been developed since 2021. This is where the new Toms Creek ponds are located; the Big Game, Carp Creek, Catfish Creek and Monster Creek. Large ponds with large fish, sometimes more than 2 meters!

All fishing materials are available in the shop. There are also fishing rods and equipment for rent. No experience? No problem! The enthusiastic team is happy to help you on your way. You can also book a fishing coach who will teach you all the intricacies of fishing.

Outings and arrangements

In addition to the wide range of fishing activities, there are also other outdoor activities. The range has expanded considerably over the years with the rental of E-choppers and Fatbikes, Wild Games and Clinics. There is a large catering area with a terrace for a tasty snack and a drink. The extensive menu offers something for everyone. From breakfast, lunch and dinner to late night snacks. Catering arrangements can also be booked for groups. Think of an extensive barbecue or, for example, Burgers & Beers. For a fully catered day. You can order your food and drinks via the QR codes on the fishing spots and picnic tables across the park. They deliver these to your fishing spot or picnic table.

Park is freely accessible

The park is freely accessible to visitors, walkers and cyclists. Fishermen must book in advance via the website. The location is easily accessible with a wheelchair. There is also a disabled toilet.

As of 2023, Toms Creek has taken over all activities of the adjacent Surf School Paradiso. From the summer of that year you can go to Toms Beach for windsurfing, catamaran sailing, pedal boating, and supping & canoeing. The range for groups and children's parties will also be further expanded.
