Our own research by the municipality of Lelystad shows that Lelysted residents are increasingly recreating in Lelystad. To provide these people and visitors from outside the city with the best possible information, the tourist niche in the hall of the town hall has been renovated. Everyone can go there for more information about all the must-visit tourist spots in Lelystad.
Tourist map and magazine
The tourist season starts in April. This month there will be a new tourist map of Lelystad with bicycle junctions that connects all tourist attractions in Lelystad. A tourist magazine will also be published before the summer, which can be picked up at the alcove in the town hall, hotels, catering establishments and other tourist points.
Marketing campaign 'Zeelopers en Landvaarders'
To put Lelystad on the map locally, regionally and nationally and to enthuse people for a visit to Lelystad, the municipality is launching the marketing campaign 'Zeelopers en Landvaarders' at the end of April. The campaign was developed together with entrepreneurs from Lelystad.
Alderman Annemieke Messelink-Dijkstra: “In the coming season, all kinds of beautiful things will be organized in Lelystad, such as various King's Day parties, the Dutch Water Week, tours, Hiswa on the water and Jordaan in the Polder. Many entrepreneurs also join the 'Zeelopers en Landvaarders' campaign. For example, you will soon be able to experience a new special accommodation location at camping Buytenplaets Suydersee that is completely in line with the campaign. Entrepreneurs also think along about fun activities and arrangements that tie in with the campaign. All in all, Lelystad is becoming an increasingly attractive place for our residents and visitors.”
