MTB route Lelystad
De MTB-route pakt Lelystad het ene na het andere heuveltje me en slingert zoveel dat je er bijna duizelig van wordt. Fiets door het Zuigerplasbos, het Bergbos en het Gelderse Hout en geniet van de vele klimmetjes, afdalingen, jumps, flowy singletrails en de prachtige natuur.
Green lung - Lelystad
Why is Flevoland flat? This route takes in one hill after another. Why does Flevoland only have straight roads? This route winds so much that it almost makes you dizzy. More than thirty kilometers of trails await your studded tires when you start this route through the green lung of Lelystad. Along the way you gain a hundred meters of altitude. The course consists of three segments: the Zuigerplasbos in the north, the Gelderse Hout in the south, and the various urban forests in between. The route through the Zuigerplasbos is also marked separately as a children's route.
If you start in the Zuigerplasbos, you are in the right place. This loop has everything that makes mountain biking so much fun. Climbs, descents, jumps, flowy single trails and beautiful nature. The forest is located around the Zuigerplas, which was created by sand extraction for the construction of the dike along the IJsselmeer. Every now and then you leave the forest to cycle with a view of the lake. But there are also more challenging features, such as a north shore and technical gate crossings. This loop is partly constructed with concrete granulate, making it great to ride all year round.
If you like a challenge, be sure to take part in the Bergbos. This forest lives up to its name with its short climbs, steep descents and some technical loops, indicated with red arrows. We are continuously working hard to keep this route passable all year round. In dry periods, this route is an excellent alternative to routes elsewhere in the country that are too loose. In very wet conditions you will encounter some muddier sections of track and in extreme cases there is a chance that some parts of the route will have to be closed.

- Parking lot Zuigerplasbos - Zuigerplasdreef, 8222 RA Lelystad
- Camping Buytenplaets Suydersee, Badweg 1, 8223 PA in Lelystad
